I sorta messed up on the pinions (wings) of the One Winged Angel (I like saying that) but other than that its one of the best things I have ever done. Tell me what you think and any way I could improve it other than color...
Okay, first off: excellent composition and very clean picture. Your pic can use a little space to the right to give his wing 'breathing room', but otherwise, really good.
The pose is graceful and natural, yet very strong. I like how the grace is conveyed through the flow of his hair and the nice arch the wings have, and the strength through the bold positioning of his body (Fist, action of his steps, straight and almost military-like posture.) Perfect for Sephiroth and his 'angel-ness'.
You show a great eye for linework here, especially the placement of the lines in his hair and the thickness shown in his clothing. You already show a grasp of the concept of shading through line thickness, even with the hair, which is notorious for even skilled manga-ka and animators to deal with. I would suggest, however, to try to 'smooth' out the lines a little. This takes developing a steady hand a lots, and I do mean lots, of practice. Suggestion?
Go over the entire picture with a singular pen (gell, draft, ball-point, quill, whatever you're using). The line will most likely end up being of a single thickness. THEN go back and thicken the lines where you see neccessary...this will help eliminate some of the 'choppyness' your lines have right now.
Next would be his wing. I'd advise you to study the actual wings of birds to review feather placement and the way they position themselves when the wing is outstretched. You've already got a good grasp on it, but keep in mind that feathers are aligned almost perfectly against the wing. So as the wing stretches forward as it does in this picture, or seems to by the initial arch from his shoulder blade, the wings will slowly progress to facing upwards towards the top of the page. You've already done this with quite a few of them Just be consistant with the rest.
Next would be the feather TYPE. The long, 'flowy' kind of feathers are never, ever found in wings intended for flight. They're plumage meant for the tail or appearing, mini-sized, in the crests of crested birds. Flight-type wings have stiff, aerodynamic feathers that can be adjusted side-to-side and up-and-down by the bird...similar to the panels found on airplane wings. Make the feathers more of a 'leaf' shape: thin at the beginning, thicker along the body and tapered off at the ends.
Last, but not least, is a very simple suggestion: Resize your picture, because it's too big for full-view! LOL
Here's a rather simple feather tutorial, but it has excellent pictures and points that I often refference myself when I'm stumped: [link]
Good work. Again, you've got a great sense of composition and linework, not to mention posture and conveying a particular 'emotion' and 'feeling' into a picture. I look forward to seeing more of your stuff and watching you improve more and more.

If I remember in final fantasy his wing was white (after transforming) but if you wanted some contrast you could go with the kingdom heart version (kickass game) where he had black wings. If you shadded those I think it would add contrast to the picture and really differentiate between his hair and the wings (at first I thought he had 2 wings). But as it is I really like it! Excelent job!
You are so right. That would work very well. When I showed most of my friends that picture they asked where the head was cause the hair looked like a wing. If I shaded it you think that I would need to take off the original or just put up the new with the old?
